Wind Power

Harness The Wind

Here are the advantages of the wind generation systems we utilize in all of our hydroponic facilities and green built communities:

  • Distribution of Weight
  • Generate More Power Within the Same Space
  • Simplicity of Design
  • Modular Design
  • Ease of Transportation
  • Ease of Assembly
  • Integration into the Landscape
  • Reduced Risk to Wildlife
  • Value Added Features
  • Consistency in Blade Rotation
  • Operable at Higher Wind Speeds
  • Operable at Lower Wind Speeds

All of these benefits are important but let's focus on the top four reasons why Hydronaturals chooses to utilize these wind generation units.

1. Reduced Risk To Wildlife
The turbine is protected inside a cage that prevents wildlife from flying, running or walking into the turning blades. This removes the risk of the units doing harm to wildlife. It also eliminates damage from such occurrences which help reduce operating costs.

2. Integration Into The Landscape
Almost everyone has seen the windmill type wind generators towering over the landscape. Nobody wants one of those near their home or business. With this new design they look more like a house than a wind generator. This allows for integration into communities and areas close to towns, making them more compatible with their surroundings.

3. Operable at Higher Wind SpeedsUnlike their predecessor these turbines can operate at speeds up to 200 MPH. The old fashioned windmill type has to shut down at speeds above 75 MPH.

4. Operable at Lower Wind Speeds
Here we have one of the most important aspects of this new age wind generator. It begins to turn and actually generate power at speeds as low as 2 to 3 MPH. The old style requires speeds of 10 MPH or higher to begin to generate more power then they consume.

We could go on and on about the advantages of these wind systems, Less moving parts, easy assembly and dis-assembly, easy to transport, more power in less space and the space inside these systems is all usable.

We use the interior space for battery storage and use nickel/zinc batteries which have a solid core and have a much higher heat tolerance and storage life then the lithium ion batteries.
